Here on the East coast we’ve been getting a lot of white powdery fluffy stuff. These pictures are from the mini blizzard we got the day after Christmas. It snowed again last night until early this morning but not like the way it was a few weeks ago.
This is right outside my door on that Sunday night.
Try going ANYWHERE in snow this knee-deep.
It was piled and packed up to the door!
In the morning^.
Semi-cleaned but still unbearable.
You could walk down to the street then try your best to trudge elsewhere.
And It was a cookie blizzard indoors.
I made some nut butter sunflower thumprints, vegan shortbreads and my Mom made Nestle’s classic chocolate chip. Who needs to worry about snow when there is a bountiful amount of cookies?!
And being indoors leads to some cabin fever. Which leads to some need for caffeine for an extra boost of indoor energy.
I know I’ve said before that I don’t like regular kawfee because of how it makes me feel but after some research I decided to try this organic coffee I got some Trader Joe’s awhile ago.
I ground up and brewed those beans and put the yummy hot kawfee in one of my favorite Mickey Mouse mugs.
And the perfect snow day meal for me is either eggs or pancakes. And eggs it was! With a side of fakon (fake bacon).
.
And quick pan toasted garlic bread.
Yum yum in my blizzardy tum tum.
A snowy day breakfast for one!
Q: What is your favorite snow day activity? I love to bake or just spend the day watching online shows I missed or saved movies on my Netflix queue. I may even venture out and throw a snowball or two

I had a snow day yesterday (well, I had to do some work from home) but I spent a lot of time interwebbing, did three loads of laundry, went to the DMV (it was empty!), went to a couple of other stores, but most importantly…didn’t change out of my yoga pants allllll day
